Conquerors
You can feel it!
The win is right there
Just beyond you fingertips
But still with in your reach
Feel your strength exploding in your veins
Your muscles playing in anticipation
Excitement is an electric fire that heats
Your heart and your soul
Don’t rage at another’s petty nature
Let them waste their energy, you will consume them
Feel the rhythm, taste the exultation
You are the champion
Defence or offense
You can hold them off and you can sweep them before you
This is your game, the opponents are only pretenders
Destroy them, and seize the triumph
With blood and sweat,
You earn it.
Share
Share with me your smiles
Share with me your tears
Together we’ll make the world a beautiful place
We’ll conquer all your fears
Open your heart to the world
But be sure to keep it strong
Listen to the Spice Girls
And you simply can’t go wrong
Your life is the playground you make it
Jump up, get down, dance up a storm
There you go, you’re a star
Grace us all with that perfect form
Fly
Wings
Beginners luck
Independence
Sleep
How I crave the deepest rest
Muscles tensed need release
Bones stressed request
Silent peace
Thoughts heavy and dim
Swim dizzily inside
Please, a brief interim
I’ll crawl away from the world and hide
I move then ache
Want to submerge into a warm soft bed
Many hours before I wake
Such exhaustion my work has bred
Tango
Tear at the floor boards with your steps
Stir the dust from the ground
Its like your dancing on a cloud now
Never slow, only go faster
Feel the music beat
It pounds in your heart
Your pulse matches the rhythm
Faster and faster
Exultant cries fly from your throat
Your partner light in your grasp
The rest of the room is a blur
There are only the two of you
And the music that weaves it spicy web
Around this dance
There is heat in your limbs
There is fire in your eyes
There is passion flowing through your soul
The closeness, the twirl and spin
Lips briefly brush
Hips touch
Its making full bodied love
Breath short, skin tingling
So intimate and raw
This is the tango
A Riddle
I have no straight lines
Only curves
I am soft and flexible
Filled with pearly gems
You use me every day
What am I?
Answer: .elims A
Enough Sad Dreams
I have dreamed sad dreams
Long enough
Depressing themes
Make life dark
I only want happy things
Pleasant lark
Dancing
Wild spirit and inhibition collide
Her dance is her voice
Her true strength revealed
I have rarely seen anything
So engaging and beautiful
As a women in the height of her passion
Sand Dancer
Footprints lightly pressed in wet sand
Washed quickly away as the dancer moves on
She asks the waters blue
To unveil the feelings it does hide
Buried deep every evening tide
Does it catch the tears when the stars weep?
With a kick and twirl the dancer makes a splash
Dancing to the music of the breakers as they crash
It is a song that will never end
Though every day into the ocean do heaven’s jewels descend
The beginning of a bold moon, the shy setting sun
A place where lovers have their fun
And no matter where the dancer’s steps do fly
Whether she’s coming or going the ocean always waves
A Poet in Practice
They are the masters of verse and rhyme
Scheming pretty word sequences to last through time
The common man sees libraries lined with books
Each filled with wonderful works, if one looks
The common man though understands not
How hard it is to create that lot
You may think such beauty and mental agility
Comes with ease and natural ability
Effortlessly does the poet pen pretty pictures
Open hearts, filling minds with varied tinctures
Of greatness and heart
Of lovers torn apart
Putting ink on paper is not as easy as it seems
It is a struggle to properly portray your dreams
To make the pattern of the letters just right
So you can evoke the emotions and shed light
